Previously, Sony assured PS3 and PSP owners that restoration of the hacked PlayStation Network would resume in the week beginning May 2nd .
As it happens, that was optimistic – the service is still very much down. Instead, Sony is now promising the service will be fully restored by May 31st, although a PlayStation Europe community manager has tweeted that online gaming will be back before that date. When is anybody’s guess.
Incidentally, today is the 20th consecutive day the service has been offline. Should Sony hit its new May 31st deadline for full restoration, that will mean parts of PSN will have been out for 41 days. Wow. Time to review that ’30 days free’ apology gift , methinks!
