‘Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul Lends A Helping Hand In ‘A Modest Proposal’
The trend of YouTube proposals and their subsequent weddings has been put through an elaborate lens for attention. Many hopeful would-be fiances have participated in Disney flash mobs, difficult song and dance numbers, and even a rap battle has acted as a jump off for proposals. This time around, a man got his sweetheart’s favorite actor involved in the whole thing.
While this has been practiced before, how Jason Lord came up with the idea to involve Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul in his proposal to girlfriend of three years, Jackie Prater, is pretty ingenious. The actor is on a career high after winning two Emmys, and a Golden Globe nomination, so it’s safe to say that getting his attention was probably a hard task, even if he has proven himself as one of the nicest celebrities around.
First Jason Lord set up a rehearsal space with a live band, which included a string section as he played the piano and sang 90s throwback song “To Be With You” by Mr. Big. The song was a sentimental track to the two as one of their dates had them drunkenly dueting to the familiar song. According to the video, which Aaron Paul posted, “the song has been an inside joke for them ever since.”
With a few friends in tow, Jason Lord wound up organizing a full sing-a-long as his fiance to be sat there in amazement. The real moment came when Aaron Paul’s face appeared on a screen behind the band and their friends. Jackie couldn’t contain her excitement as the Breaking Bad actor gave Jason Lord the best possible opening line to his proposal.
Paul even posted the link to the video on his Twitter:
Jason & Jackie, Congratulation to both of you. I’m so happy I could be a small part of this special day. Love, Ap http://t.co/ko9HW0SCC1

According to the video, Jason won a personalized video from Aaron Paul after donating to Paul’s wife’s charity, the Kind Campaign, which helps Paul’s wife to tour and teach children about bullying and self-image.
