Sarah Palin Reality Show Premieres In 2014
Sarah Palin will host a new weekly reality television show starting in April 2014.
Amazing America with Sarah Palin will air on the Sportsman Channel and focus on the outdoor lifestyle. The Sportsman Channel offers hunting, fishing, and shooting programming and calls Palin the “First Lady of the Outdoors.”
According to the channel’s website in promoting the new Sarah Palin show, “A grizzly is unpredictable, and we got the mother of them all.” A news release indicates that Palin will take viewers across country in “Red, Wild and Blue America… where the American Spirit and the Great Outdoors are celebrated in equal measure.”
Said Palin about her new TV gig, “I’m excited to help shine a light on all the great American sportsmen and women in the country who live the outdoors lifestyle. Sportsman Channel is the leader in their industry and I am thrilled to be partnering with them on this show.”
Amazing America with Sarah Palin will be produced by Pilgrim Studios which has filmed a diverse range of reality content for various networks such as The Ultimate Fighter, Ghost Hunters, and Orange County Shoppers.
The former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP presidential candidate previously hosted and produced Sarah Palin’s Alaska on TLC that ran for one season.
The Sportsman Channel reportedly gets about 24,000 viewers per night, so it is seems to be shooting blanks when it comes to the ratings. Presumably the company believes that Palin’s high profile can boost the channel which is only available in about 32 million American homes out of the 100 million cable/satellite universe.
Sarah Palin has flirted with the idea of running for US Senate from her home state of Alaska in 12014; it is unclear at this time whether the new reality show will affect her political aspirations moving forward.
