Kelly Clarkson Shoots Down Cheating Rumors On Twitter
Kelly Clarkson recently addressed cheating rumors with a handful of posts on Twitter.
The American Idol winner isn’t happy that people are currently casting husband Brandon Blackstock in a negative light. Although some outlets keep reporting that Clarkson’s better half is stepping out on the singer, she wants everyone to know that this simply isn’t the case.
In order to set the record straight, Kelly Clarkson decided to issue a few stern tweets about these cheating rumors to her fans and followers on the micro-blogging site. While these unsubstantiated reports aren’t causing her a great deal of stress, the lies are definitely taking their toll on her stepchildren.
“Keep hearing random rumors of me and Brandon splitting or that’s he’s cheating on me. Stop with all the lying please,” Clarkson recently wrote.
She added, “False rumors don’t bother me & Brandon but they do affect the lives of our 12 and 7-year-olds. They’re kids and don’t get that people can print lies.”
Where did these rumors originate? The Huffington Post explains that rumors regarding Brandon Blackstock’s marital infidelity began at the celebrity gossip and satire site The Dirty. However, the outlet’s “exclusive” report about the cheating was ultimately removed.
The anonymous individual reportedly told the website that Kelly Clarkson’s husband was cheating on her because he thought he could get away with it. In addition to hanging out together a few times after meeting at a golf course in Tennessee, the nameless individual claimed to have exchanged texts with Blackstock.
“Because his parents are music royalty, Brandon really thinks he is invincible and better than everyone else. I don’t even know why I’m saying any of this since my story isn’t that juicy. We haven’t slept together but we’ve been intimate in other ways. I really hope his wife keeps her eye on him because he’s not the great man that she thinks he is,” the conveniently anonymous woman explained.
Blackstock’s ex-wife Melissa Ashworth told Radar Online that these cheating rumors were nothing short of silly. In short: His relationship with Kelly Clarkson is safe and sound.
“This is ridiculous. I have my two children [by Brandon] right here, who I love. I adore Kelly and Brandon has a couple, so if I say anything it’s going to be positive,” Ashworth explained.
To clarify one more time: Kelly Clarkson’s husband isn’t cheating on her with someone he supposedly met at a golf club. She’d also appreciate it if folks would stop making up mean-spirited rumors that greatly affect her stepchildren.
