Selena Gomez stormed off stage and cursed because of technical issues during a charity concert..
Gomez was taking part in the Jingle Ball, which was organised by KIIS FM and took place in Los Angeles, when the incident occurred. The 21-year-old was left non-plussed after her microphone stopped working as she attempted to sing to the crowd.
During her performance, she stated, “Sorry, the sound isn’t working! Are you guys having a good night?”
However, despite the fact that Gomez had informed sound employees working on the concert of the problems, she grew increasingly exacerbated by the malfunction. So much so that she swore at the crowd, which was filled mostly with children, before then storming off stage.
Gomez added, “I promise a lot cooler people are gonna come out tonight. Is it okay if I perform two more songs and you guys can get to it?”
She even completely stopped performing for several minutes while audio technicians attempted to fix the problem. However, they were unable to solve the issue.
Before her final song, Gomez said, “I have to thank you guys so much for allowing me to be able to perform the music that I love. And I have to say that before you guys go on to the people that you care about, I really appreciate you supporting everything that I do.”
Gomez’s good mood soon subsided though, as she played the next song, which was her first ever number one hit, “Come & Get It.”
As the song drew to an end, Gomez could be seen growing more and more frustrated to the point that she even swore before finally leaving the stage.
One eyewitness added, “She was p****d doing the next song and she said two more songs. She didn’t do the last one.”
Earlier this week, alongside Beyonce and Justine Bieber, Gomez topped the list of most searched Internet individuals for 2013. This was according to trend patterns from 12 countries, which was evaluated by the search engine, Bing.
Gomez was the most searched person in Germany while Bieber took the crown in the United Kingdom, and Beyonce ruled in the US.
It’s believed that the demise of her relationship with Bieber was the reason for her surge in popularity on the world wide web.
Gomez performed alongside Miley Cyrus, Macklemore, Robin Thicke, and Ariana Grande at the charity event, which was organised to try and help raise funds for the Ryan Seacrest Foundation.
