Dolly Parton announced that she’s bringing her Blue Smoke Tour to the US next year.
After announcing a handful of performances in Australia back in October, many fans in the US wondered if the country music legend would bring her show the United States. If you were one of those people, then Parton just announced the perfect holiday gift.
According to Billboard , Dolly Parton confirmed on Friday (December 6) that her tour would make a total of 11 stops in the US beginning early next year. Although she only has a few shows scheduled for late January, she’ll return to the US for several dates in May.
“It’s always great to perform at home in the good ol’ USA. We’re kicking off our Blue Smoke World Tour right here at home. I love traveling all over the world; but it’s true, there’s nothing like home,” the singer said in a recent press release about the tour.
In addition to playing a few shows in Australia and New Zealand, Dolly Parton also plans to take the Blue Smoke Tour to her fans in Europe. The whole thing reportedly wraps up in Sweden on July 11.
While Parton loves playing in the US, it’s clear that she’s very excited about the shows she has lined up for Australia. Taste of Country points out that the country music icon has quite a few adoring fans in other parts of the world as well.
She said in a recent statement:
“We have a lot of new and exciting things for the show and can’t wait to share it with you. I love my fans in that part of the world. You’ve been so very good to me for so many years, I’m really, really excited to be coming back to New Zealand again after 30 years or so. And I know that we’re gonna have a wonderful time. It’s a long way from home in your part of the world, but I always feel like I’m right at home. So Australia, New Zealand, I’m coming home. Wait up!”
