Perez Hilton To Star In ‘Gay Dads of New York’ Reality Show
Internet celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is about to take the reality show business by storm. Hilton, who has made his living by defacing paparazzi photos for his celebrity gossip stories, has found himself on a reality show called Gay Dads of New York.
Mirrored after the Real Housewives series, Gay Dads of New York will, you guessed it, feature semi famous gay dads of New York and their families. Keeping Up With the Kardashians producer Bunim/Murray productions and OMG Productions will head up this project.
The reality show will center around Perez and his lifestyle. Hilton’s lifestyle has changed from when he first started writing gossip news. Just last year he became a single father, and made the big move to New York. It’s unknown if his move to New York wasn’t just one step in a long series to prepare for the new reality show.
In addition to showcasing Perez Hilton’s life, the show aims to show married gay dads “Support each other through the ups and downs of raising children.” As for who will be alongside Perez, that is to be decided in the near future. Currently casting is underway for Gay Dads of New York.
In a statement, Perez Hilton said that the series, unlike some reality shows, will not be “trashy or boring.” Instead the show is set to offer Hilton’s critics a glimpse of the “real” Perez Hilton.
Hilton elaborated on the reality show and what it means to him:
“What is your typical American family like? These days, it looks a lot like mine! I am honored and excited to bring to television a show that will be filled with love, humor and drama. What will it not be? Trashy or boring!”
Hilton continued:
“Up until now, people know me more for my opinions than who I am. This show will give viewers the opportunity to get to know the ‘real’ Perez Hilton and my family, as well as some other really dynamic gay dads, and the women that make up their support system.”
Who do you think will be cast alongside Perez Hilton in his new reality series?
