Keri Russell Awakens To Burglary Of Her NYC Home
Actress Keri Russell has been in some pretty tense and terrifying scenes on both the big and small screens.
Keri’s seen adrenaline-fueled action in Mission: Impossible III and The Americans and she even endured the horror of 7th Heaven. But no amount of acting could have prepared Keri Russell for the very real fright of waking up to she sound of burglars in her own home, as she did in the wee hours Tuesday morning.
The story of Keri Russell’s home burglary first hit the public eye courtesy of TMZ (not surprisingly), which reported that law enforcement confirmed receiving a call from Russell at 3 a.m. Tuesday. Keri had awoken to noise upstairs at her New York City town home and investigated, finding her living room window and front door “wide open.”
“Everyone is fine, and Keri sends her thanks to the police,” Keri Russell’s representative told Us Weekly. “She returned to work on The Americans today.”
NYPD arrested Ronald Swindell and his nephew, Steffon, blocks away from Keri Russell’s home. They have been charged with criminal possession of stolen property and burglary in an unrelated case; police suspect the pair in the burglary of Keri Russell’s home as well.
Among Keri Russell’s belongings that were pilfered were a Mac laptop, a necklace, a pair of earrings, and a Filson hand bag (which will undoubtedly get a spike in search queries as news of the event disseminates).
In addition to The Americans, Keri Russell is also attached toDawn of the Planet of the Apes, which is currently in post-production. While Russell’s role in the film is undefined on the Internet Movie Database, industry publication Variety described Keri’s participation as “the female lead.”
Keri Russell is married to carpenter Shane Deary, with whom she has two children, a 6-year-old son named River and a daughter named Willa, who is nearly 2-years-old. There has been no indication as to whether the rest of Keri Russell’s family was home or not at the time of the burglary.
