If Justin Bieber’s Video Girl Cailin Russo Made Selena Gomez Mad Before, Try Now

Justin Bieber’s “All That Matters” video introduced the 19-year-old’s pelvic thrusts and the model Cailin Russo to the world. The first we can all be thankful for, obviously. The second? Well, lets just say the newbie’s making some waves with Selena Gomez right about now.

Also 19-years-old, Russo plays Bieber’s love interest in the Colin-Tilley directed video, and specializes in suggestive bending, rear-end displays, and making out with the Biebs really, really slowly.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Russo said she thought Gomez’s recent selfie Instagram, which the actress-singer captioned (‘I thought he only liked the Latina category. smh (sic)’), referred to her previous kissing Instagram with Bieber which he posted on November 19.

Elaborating, the model added,

“I’m sure there might be bitterness, but I was just doing my job,” she insists.

Defending herself, Russo said,

“She [Gomez] posted a picture on Instagram that said, ‘I thought he only liked the Latina category. Smh… #nomakeup #hatewhengirlssaythat.’ It was clearly directed at him with me in the video, but like I said I was just doing my job.”

However, Cailin downplays herself as serious romantic competition.

“I think it’s ridiculous,” she said of some fans’ comparisons between her and the Getaway starlet.

“Selena is a superstar and I’m just a girl in a video. She’s his ex and I’m sure they still have feelings for each other.”

Okay. Still breathing?

First off we have to say, we LOVE, LOVE this interview.

This is what passable starlets, on the rise models, and Canadian superstars are FOR. Idle, highly quotable pot stirring that will keep the news cycle happily occupied for weeks.

Cailin also went in, describing her on-set and downtime with Justin during filming.

Admitting that kissing Bieber — incidentally, it was her first take — “was nice,” she added: “I got butterflies and I do still to this day. After the shoot wrapped it felt so surreal, I even got a speeding ticket after the shoot because I was on such a high.”

“I guess you could say I wouldn’t mind doing it again,” the model admitted, freely.

It’s an embarrassment of riches, isn’t it? Cailin is either just very honest, truly gauche, or cleverly riding her heightened profile as far as she can.

Either way, it’s gold.

And there was more.

On a very serious note, the model revealed she has received death threats from some of Bieber’s fans but also says she has more social media follows. So there’s that.

Probably inspiring more frantic hair chewing in Gomez’s Versace-strewn bedroom, Russo paints a picture of her ‘bonding’ time with Bieber, revealing,

“We got way more comfortable as the day went on,” she recalled.

“He was so nice to me and we were fully conversating the entire time. We would even go into the tour bus in between sets and talk, he’d play me some of his music, like the song with R. Kelly — it was fun.”

Russo denies making out with the Biebs on the said bus, but does mention that he “smelled really nice, like cologne,” and that his “breath was “really fresh all day.”

She also complimented the singer as “humble,” “down to earth” and “so nice to everyone” on set.

After telling the magazine she let herself go during filming to “be in the moment,” she reveals she is in contact with Bieber and has him stored as an alias for when they text or FaceTime.

Asked to describe her and Justin’s status, Cailin defers to “homies,” adding,”We’ll hang out when he’s around and I would love to possibly write music with him someday. His music is so good, I was really intimidated when I heard him singing.”

She also drops in a weirdly dismissive nuance about her “boyfriend,” and appears to mark time as pre and after the “All That Matters” video.

Later, the harem-pants loving model gushed in response to a query about Justin’s sexiness.

“His voice and his smile,” declared Russo, ”

“Oh my god, it makes your heart crumble a little bit,” she added. Again, freely.

In short, it’s a tremendously entertaining interview.

Lingering questions: Is Cailin right? Does Selena have an issue with her, which then implies she’s still into Justin? And is he interested in both or neither of them romantically?
