Taylor Swift thinks men are intimidated by her success, and it should come as no surprise as she is known for singing about men.

As one of the biggest recording artists of our time, Taylor Swift certainly has made a name for herself, but it could be at the expense of personal relationships.

She is reportedly worth over $200 million, and as her star rises, the opposite happens to the prospect of guys approaching her.

“At least I suppose it might (be intimidating). It’s not like I would look at a guy and say, ‘Hey, are you intimidated by me?’ I think that would be highly uncool on my part! I tend not to be the one to start conversations with guys, anyway. I’m a little more old-fashioned than that.” Taylor Swift recently said in an interview with Hello! UK.

“I assume that if someone is interested in me they will come up and talk to me – and if they want to call me up afterwards, then they will,” she added.

Swift, who is 23 now, last had a serious relationship with Harry Styles from another highly successful band, One Direction.

Inevitably at every awards ceremony they bump into each other. Recently, they both attended the AMAs, and Taylor Swift reportedly ignored Harry Styles when they were in close proximity back stage.

Whether that is true or just the media making up stories, we don’t know, but Taylor has made a name for herself by singing about her heartbreak after romantic relationships end.

The pop star has had some high profile significant others despite her young years, which include Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner, and John Mayer.

But right now, Taylor Swift is not trying too hard to find love. She is focusing on her stellar career and letting things happen naturally.

“I try not to wishfully think my way into relationships – or maybe I should say I’m trying not to do that any more.” the singer says.

Talking about choosing lyrics that have to do with the men in her life, she adds:

“I do tend to write more songs when I have a broken heart, though, because when you’re in love, you’re just so fascinated by the fact you’re in love that you don’t take the time to write down everything that you’re feeling.”

Taylor Swift recently won the AMA for Artist of The Year and is currently on her Red tour in New Zealand.
