Trophy Wife star Malin Akerman split up with husband Roberto Zincone, according to multiple media reports.
The couple first got together about 10 years ago and married in 2007. They have one son who was born in April. Zincone is a drummer for the band The Pedalstones.
With regard to the Malin Akerman marriage break-up, “It’s as amicable as can be, and they want to do what’s best for their son,” an inside source told US Weekly . Another source told the publication that neither Akerman nor Zincone have any plans to file divorce papers just yet.
The New York Daily News quipped, “Maybe Malin Akerman and her husband of six years, Roberto Zincone, should have tried a couples retreat before parting ways,” a reference to the fact that Akerman appeared in the comedy film Couple’s Retreat with Vince Vaughn and an ensemble cast.
In September, Akerman, 35, said of her marriage, “We’ve never had one single fight. We always talk things out.”
The Inquisitr previously reported on how Akerman sported an amazing figure so soon after the birth of son Sebastian. “It’s a lot of working out and a really good diet! Diet as in really healthy food. I wish there was a magic pill you could just pop in! But unfortunately, it’s exercise — I’ve been doing Pilates, and cycling, and hiking. That’s pretty much my routine, as often as possible.”
Before she became a star, Akerman’s very first acting role was in the HBO comedy series The Comeback starring Lisa Kudrow.
Kudrow (who created the show with Michael Patrick King) plays Valerie Cherish, a semi-delusional former star who is trying to revive her career with a minor part in a mindless sitcom while being shadowed by a reality TV crew. Malin Akerman played the lead character on the show-within-a-show sitcom. Although it only lasted one season, The Comeback is a highly recommended rental.
