Eminem And Kim Mathers Back Together? Not True Says Rep

Earlier today we reported that Eminem and Kim Mathers might be on their way to a reunion. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, this is not happening anytime soon. A rep from Eminem’s Shady Records has decided to debunk the story, originally reported from RadarOnline.

The original story was based on an interview with Kim Mathers’ mother, Kathy Sluck, and her grandmother, Marie Hartter. Hours after the story was published the rep has decided to do some damage control in a statement.

“Marshall and Kim continue to maintain a great friendship and share in the parenting of their family.”

Eminem’s rep was adamant that the pair do love their children and are a family unit as they continue to raise them. This does not mean that they’re on a fast track to reconciliation.

As it turns out, it was just wishful thinking by Kim Mathers’ mother Kathy Sluck. Although she did admit they weren’t currently together, she said that she wouldn’t rule it out. Sluck told RadarOnline:

“She has been clean all these years, she just takes care of her family. She’s doing very well. I think they might [get back together soon], they get on better than ever.”

Sluck continued:

“As far as I know they’re not together, but I think your first love they’re always going to have that tumultuous back and forth thing going — always. They’ve been in love since they were 14 or 15 and that’s not going to stop anytime soon.”

Kim Mathers’ grandmother added fuel to the speculation that they were on their way to reuniting again. Having told the site:

“They will probably grow old together one way or another, as much as he says he hates her in his music, he loves her that much too, I feel.”

Eminem and Kim Mathers have endured a difficult relationship even though they have put their differences aside to raise their children. The pair were married in 1999 after meeting as teenagers years prior. The two were then divorced by 2001, and then remarried in 2006 only to get divorced later on in the year. The two share two children, Hailie and Whitney, the latter who is a product of Kim Mathers’ relationship with an unidentified man.
