Melissa Joan Hart: Miley Cyrus Too Nude, Katy Perry Might Agree

Melissa Joan Hart is saying Miley Cyrus is getting too naked and other stars like Katy Perry would agree.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Melissa is no angel as she explains it in her memoir. She has her own history of cheating on guys and drugs. But Hart does claim the media is exaggerating her “ecstasy binges.”

Melissa Joan Hart once turned down a $1 million nude photo shoot offer from Playboy:

“They came around and offered me a million dollars, which I had to seriously consider. Initially it’s like, ‘Yeah, I’ll take my clothes off for a million bucks, are you kidding?’ It’s the big question: what will you do for a million dollars? I was 23-years-old… and I went through a time where I was a little wild. I actually showed up at the photo-shoot from The Playboy Mansion, so it was like, ‘Oh big deal – bra and panties, that’s what I saw everybody in all night.’ I had no idea how big that was going to be. (From that experience) I learned that I didn’t want to do Playboy.”

So it’s not without merit that she claims Miley Cyrus is putting too much out:

“The business has changed from when I was young. They’re digging more into people’s personal lives. You’ve got to be careful about what you put out there…keep some secrets so you can write a book later on.”

And as we all know by now Miley Cyrus hasn’t been keeping very much secret lately. She’s even admitted her naked romp in the Wrecking Ball video and the twerking at the VMAs is all part of a long term business strategy.

This type of scandalous behavior even has Katy Perry warning it’s getting to be way too much nudity:

“I’m not talking about anyone in particular. I’m talking about all of them. I mean, it’s like everybody’s so naked. It’s like put it away. We know you’ve got it. I got it too…. I’m just saying sometimes it’s nice to play that card but also it’s nice to play other cards. And I know I have that sexy card in my deck but I don’t always have to use that card.”

Melissa Joan Hart and Katy Perry aren’t the first stars to sound this warning. Avril Lavigne said nude photos of her are unlikely since she prefers her own fashion and doesn’t want to use the sex card to further her career. Sinead O’Connor tried warning Miley Cyrus that the music industry was “prostituting” her for money. But Miley did not heed the advice and instead lashed out, causing O’Connor to threaten a lawsuit.

But Melissa also says we shouldn’t judge Cyrus too harshly. As a child actress Hart can synthesize over the situation she’s in and the pressure she might feel as part of her position in the music industry.
