Katie Couric is Officially Leaving CBS Evening News [Confirmed]

After months of speculation it’s official, Katie Couric will be leaving CBS Evening News after just under five years as the news programs anchor.

A network executive confirmed the anchors departure to the AP today. While no specific exit date has been announced, Couric’s contract with the network runs out on June 4.

After leaving the news program it’s largely expected that Couric will move on to host her own syndicated talk show during the daytime hours.
