Veterans Day 2013: Freebies Offer Deals And Free Meals At Restaurants
Veterans Day 2013 freebies are being offered at restaurants and retailers in order to honor every American veteran.
As previously reported by The Inquisitor, Black Friday 2013 deals are making shoppers angry, not happy, because leaked ads are indicating Thanksgiving Day is be transformed into Black Thursday.
In 2013, Veterans Day will fall on November 11, which is this Monday. Some cities are reported as having the “the biggest Veterans’ Day parade in 72 years.” But while parades are amazing some people might just want to enjoy time with family with some Veterans Day 2013 freebies.
Keep in mind that you will need a military identification, retiree card or proof of service to obtain the Veterans Day deals. And if you plan on going to a restaurant you might want to make a reservation or show up early because they tend to be overly crowded compared to any normal Monday night.
Free Snacks And Desserts
While not a free meal, some people may just want a snack earlier in the day. Dunkin’ Donuts and Tim Horton’s will be giving away free doughnuts. You can nab free crazy bread at Little Ceasar’s, all you can eat pancakes from Denny’s, an appetizer from Lone Star Steakhouse, or a slurpee from 7-11. Outback Steakhouse is offering free Bloomin’ Onion and Coca-Cola products from November 8 through November 11.
Restaurants
Every year various restaurants tend to offer either a free desert or a whole entree in honors of veteran. But such Veterans Day deals often come with limitations on selection. Applebees, Bar Louie, Boston Market, Champps Americana, Chili’s, Famous Dave’s, Golden Corral, Hooters, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants, and Olive Garden are all offering free meals at any time of the day. Free lunches only are being offered at Texas Roadhouse and TGI Fridays.
Sizzler, Spaghetti Warehouse, and Uno Chicago Grill are a little different, offering a buy one meal, get one free deal. So be sure to bring friends and family!
Theme Parks And Recreation
Anheuser-Busch Parks, Colonial Williamsburg, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame are all offering free admission. All 100 national parks operated by the Federal government will be free on Veterans Day 2013.
There are some limitations on the Anheuser-Busch theme parks. The offer is not valid at Discovery Cove and Aquatica, or at Christmas Town at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Retailers And Other Veteran’s Day Deals
Big Lots, Dollar General, and The Buckle are all offering a flat 10 percent discount for Veteran’s Day 2013. Kmart has a VETERANSDAY coupon code for an extra 5 to 10 percent off. Sports Authority is doing 15 percent of all purchases. The best deal is JC Penny’s, which has a 20 percent in-store discount from November 6 to November 11.
