Miley Cyrus Brushes Haters Off With Kanye West Love
It must be pretty great to be Miley Cyrus these days. Sure she’s still getting a lot of flack for her VMA performance, but as far as full-blown transformations go, Cyrus has successfully reinvented herself and has turned heads where it counts. With her new album and press tour for Bangerz in full throttle, the former Hannah Montana star was able to do something that many Disney kids have failed at, which is a true transformation as an adult recording artist. The fact that Kanye West is an avid supporter cements that as an artist Miley is on a new plane of pop existence.
Whether you like Cyrus’ twerking or not, it doesn’t seem like Miley cares, because in her mind she has won over the only person worth hearing from and that is the controversial Chi-Town rapper Kanye West. According to the “Wrecking Ball” singer, West has offered up tremendous support to despite all of the criticism she’s been receiving from the media.
Earlier we reported that West was Miley’s texting cheerleader of sorts during her VMA performance. He had told Cyrus right before she took the stage:
“You’re going to do something kind of insane tonight. It’s going to be memorable and awesome.”
Miley Cyrus said that her relationship with Kanye West really kicked into high gear after her performance at the VMAS. Detailing the memorable experience to Ryan Seacrest, Cyrus said:
“I had wanted to go out after, but we had decided to go into the studio and we started working and my whole thing is no matter what I do, I just want to be around people that really believe in me. And that’s why him and I started working together.”
As far as collaborations go it was reported that Miley Cyrus has recorded with Kanye West on the remix of his single “Black Skinhead.” So you can expect to hear Miley either singing or Cyrus-rapping her way through the remix whenever Kanye decides that it’s ready to drop.
The significance of being supported by Kanye West isn’t lost on Miley Cyrus. During an interview with Cosmopolitan for December’s cover, Cyrus explains just how important artist support is while she’s going through a complete transformation in her career.
“The support of other artists is important because there are not many people who can relate to what I’m going through right now. Kanye West is one of those people, and even Katy Perry has been so cool.”
