Did Bobbi Kristina Get Hitched To Her Not-So Adoptive Brother?

Since Whitney Houston’s passing it seems like her daughter Bobbi Kristina has filled up the media’s void. In recent times her love life has been reported on and has even taken a few speculative turns when the news got out that she was dating someone that was considered to be her adoptive brother.

Of course we’re talking about Nick Gordon, who was primarily raised by Whitney Houston as a boy and lived with the Houstons while Bobbi Kristina was a child. The two eventually announced their engagement, but are they already hitched? Not so fast, says E!, who received official word from Bobby Kristina’s rep on her relationship with Nick Gordon.

Even though Brown referred to Gordon as “my hubby” in a recent tweet, it seems like it’s simply a term of endearment and the two haven’t hit the alter just yet. However, that doesn’t mean they aren’t still planning to make it official some day.

The couple has been through their own case of ups and downs. Gordon and Brown announced their engagement during promotion for the Lifetime reality series The Houstons: On Our Own, which features Bobby Kristina Brown. That was in October of 2012, and it seemed like a month’s time had changed something between the two because in November of the same year, Nick confirmed that they had broken up.

Their break up was brief because of as July of 2013 Bobbi Kristina announced that they were engaged via her Facebook page. She also sounded off on her critics in the same post:

“I’m tired of hearing people say ‘eww your engaged to your brother or if Whitney was still alive would we be together or would she approve of this.”

According to Bobbi, she and Nick aren’t adoptive brother and sister, having said:

“My mom never adopted him. In fact, mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going to start dating.”

It seems like Bobbi and Nick are still going strong, so strong that it warranted a bigger rock. Bobbi Kristina Brown took a photo and posted the huge ring on Facebook with a caption that said “upgrade.”
