Justin Bieber’s Brazil: Brothels, Bottles, Shirtless Fan Stage Brush
Justin Bieber won’t forget Brazil in a hurry, and neither will Brazil.
The 19-year-old made quite the big impression on fans, the hotel he stayed at, and perhaps the females he encountered at Rio de Janeiro’s Centauros brothel he was snapped coming out of.
But lets rewind.
It all started so well. On Friday, Nov. 1, hordes of fans screamed outside Justin’s luxe Copacabana Palace Hotel in Southern Rio hoping for a glimpse of their Apollonic idol.
Appearing on a balcony in casual wear, Bieber waved, smiled, and took pictures on his iphone.
It was like 2010 “Bieber Fever” all over again.
The singer later posted uploaded a video of the Beatles-esque moment, captioning it “Brazil!!!” A repeat performance later that day saw hundreds more fans storm the hotel perimeter to gather on the hotel grounds chanting Justin’s name.
He appeared, clad in black, and did the superstar wave, iPhone routine once more to the crowd’s delight.
Later that evening, things took a decidedly less glamorous turn.
The New York Post’s Page Six reported the Biebs was photographed being bundled out of Rio de Janeiro’s world-famous Centauros brothel. He would have gotten away’with it too, if only he hadn’t resembled Casper the ghost in a gargantuan white bed sheet in the latter stages of a massive bender.
Having two of his now-very-familiar bodyguards on water-spraying duty didn’t help matters, but the appallingly bad incognito jig was really up when Bieber’s wrist tattoo was spotted in pictures taken by reportedly tipped-off paparazzi.
Our favorite Canadian was hustled into an SUV while two ‘ladies,’ allegedly from the brothel, were reportedly whisked away to the horny heartthrob’s hotel room in a separate vehicle.
More drama was to come. The Brazilian website EGO reported Bieber and his crew were “kicked” out of Copacabana hotel for “partying, doing drugs and disturbing people.”
However, sources said the teen star was moved to a rented mansion due to security reasons after fans mobbed his hotel, which makes sense seeing as that did happen.
Several outlets were later told by insiders that the reason Bieber was at the brothel was down to a combination of the singer not knowing what kind of establishment it was and a need to cool his jets somewhere as fans had forced him and his Believe tour crew out of their hotel. While this may or may not be true, it apparently still took them “three hours” to figure out that it’s adult orientation.
Justin’s first Brazil show at the Anhembi Convention Center in São Paulo on Saturday night brought yet more high jinks when a fan in the crowd lobbed a bottle of water onto the stage. Said object hit the shirtless one in his upper arm and with such force it knocked the mic out of the singer’s hand.
To say Bieber was unamused is an understatement. The face he made just moments after impact would sit quite happily alongside Edvard Munch’s “The Scream.” Videos of the fated moment have slowed down the full epicness of the singer’s reaction which led to him cutting short his show (he ended on the penultimate song anyway), without returning to encore his signature hit “Baby.”
All joking aside, anything thrown at a stage during a performance is unacceptable and is precisely why the kid took such issue with flying missiles at one at a concerts earlier this year. However, It would have been useful if someone — anyone — had thought to let the waiting audience know he wasn’t coming back out.
Other issues reportedly arose that same night.
It’s been reported Bieber allegedly “kicked” a Brazilian flag which had been thrown onto a walkway through the crowd.
However, IQ spoke to a fan, known as @jbislegend, who attended the São Paulo concert who told us,
“He [Bieber] did not kick the Brazilian flag. When he came out for ‘Boyfriend’ he was holding a flag then he put it on the ground.”
It’s also claimed Bieber arrived one hour 20 minutes late to Sao Paulo’s Anhembi Arena on Saturday and was allegedly over three hours late to a Meet & Greet with fans, some of whom reportedly paid up to $1000 to spend time with the singer.
The reasons for his reported delay are unknown.

Moving on. Two party events on Saturday night and the singer was reportedly back in good spirits for his last Brazil show in Rio de Janeiro. From all accounts it all went smoothly until (yet again) the star performed “Boyfriend,” prompting a shirtless male to run onto the stage and dry-hump the pop star.
Justin’s quick thinking back-up dancers pulled the interloper off the singer as bodyguards ran on to the stage and dragged the over-excited fan off for a kicking. No, probably just a stern talking to. Probably.
But this time all’s well that ends well. After a stage huddle with his dancers, Justin told the Praça da Apoteose arena audience,”I thought that was an extra dancer, I didn’t know what the f_k,” then closed with his signature hit, “Baby.”
Post-show, the singer tweeted,
“That was crazy!! Thank u rio!! Thank u brazil! Sold out stadium tonight! Amazing crowd. Hyped. Blessed. Thank u.”
Brazil meets Bieber was one helluva of a tour stop.
The teen star now moves on to Paraguay, Argentina, Chile and Mexico before beginning the final Australasia leg of his 15-month Believe world tour.
