Call of Duty: Ghosts ‘ multiplayer Extinction Mode is a co-op survival game. If you have been following the updates to the game, you know that by now. Infinity Ward didn’t stop there, though, because they know that more than one kind of soldier is necessary for scenarios like this.
Extinction Mode will offer different character classes to add a level of tactics to its survival-heavy gameplay mode. It’s well known that more than one kind of gamer will be along for the ride, as tactics differ depending on who’s on your team. One thing is for certain, though, and that is the fact that doing the Rambo dash (running in alone, guns blazing) will only get you killed faster in a scenario like Extinction Mode. Various kinds of players will be needed, and that’s where the classes come in.
The Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer Extinction Mode is about an invasion of aliens which only want to kill humans. The Tank is the first line of offense, a type of soldier who takes most of the damage as they defend the squad by staying in front. With 25 percent more health, the Tank will survive longer than the others.
Most likely teaming with the Tank on the front line is the Weapon Specialist. This is the soldier you want to give the biggest gun to, because he or she has a 20 percent higher damage rate than the rest.
Not every class will be on the front lines in the Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer Extinction Mode. Two of them will be lagging slightly behind for support. The Medic is the most likely class for those who don’t really want to be in the action so much as just taking care of the rest of the squad. As the Tank and the Weapon Specialist take damage, the Medic is best as the one who comes up behind and injects a shot of health. Against this alien hoard, you can bet the Medic will be very busy, so it’s a good thing they are the fastest class.
The Engineer is the one who attends the drill, a machine which destroys alien hives, preferably before they hatch. Used effectively, the Engineer can cut down on the number of aliens considerably and increase the chances of your squad surviving the invasion.
As Call of Duty: Ghosts nears release on November 5 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Wii U, and as a launch title for PS4 and Xbox One, it appears that fans are going to be busy for a long time to come. The Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer Extinction Mode could be the biggest part of what keeps the co-op gamers coming back.
