Guy Fieri Fight: Things Are ‘All Good’ With Hairdresser After Brawl
Guy Fieri got into a fight with his hairdresser after a night of drunken fun in San Francisco, but the celebrity chef said things are all good now.
The television foodie was caught on video taken by TMZ, showing him fighting with his stylist Ariel Ramirez. The hairdresser was seen cussing out Fieri and tossing punches through the door of Fieri’s SUV.
“You f–king d–k head,” Ramirez shouted again and again at Fieri.
Guy Fieri participated in the fight as well, yelling at Ramirez and kicking him. The incident ended with Ramirez in tears.
After the fight, Guy Fieri downplayed the incident as a group of drunken friends getting a bit out of control.
“A bunch of guys were messing around. Things got a little out of hand, but they’re all good now,” a representative for the chef told E! News.
Guy Fieri is never one to back down from a fight, whether it be physical or in print. Last year a New York Times restaurant review slammed his eatery, Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar, calling out the food as terrible and Fieri as a fraud.
“Has anyone ever told you that your high-wattage passion for no-collar American food makes you television’s answer to Calvin Trillin, if Mr. Trillin bleached his hair, drove a Camaro and drank Boozy Creamsicles? When you cruise around the country for your show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, rasping out slangy odes to the unfancy places where Americans like to get down and greasy, do you really mean it? Or is it all an act? Is that why the kind of cooking you celebrate on television is treated with so little respect at Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar?”
This time Guy Fieri made his fight a bit more diplomatic, appearing on the Today show to defend his restaurant and his brand.
“To me it’s impossible to come in and have a dining experience and have every single thing wrong unless you come in with a different agenda, and you want to sensationalize something and you want to blow it out of the water,” he said.
The Guy Fieri fight this week also ended peacefully, with the chef’s manager taking Ramirez home so tensions could cool off.
