Following a self-destructive weekend Chris Brown has decided to enter into rehab. A representative for the singer released a statement on behalf of the singer to E! .
Here’s what we know so far about what Chris Brown plans on doing during his stay in rehab. According to his rep Brown’s goals are connected to his recent arrest:
“His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point.”
The decision to go to rehab shouldn’t surprise anyone. Chris Brown has had a series of bad decisions since his 2009 assault on his then girlfriend Rihanna. Since then he was dismissed for a hit and run, threw a chair out the window during his interview for Good Morning America , and got into a physical altercation with openly gay R&B singer Frank Ocean, after the two argued about a parking spot during a recording session.
This weekend things seemed to have come to a head for Chris Brown when he was arrested outside of the W hotel in Washington on Sunday morning. The incident that led to his arrest happened outside of the hotel. Brown had allegedly stopped to pose for a fan, when a man photo bombed the photo. Brown, not at all finding the photo bomb amusing took to physical measures to deal with the man, which resulted in his arrest for felony assault.
Earlier we reported that Chris Brown had been released after his charge was brought down to a misdemeanor. His hearing concerning the case will take place on November 25. If convicted Brown can spend up to six months in jail.
Do you think Chris Brown will seek the help he needs in rehab?
