Craig Robinson To Guest Star On ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’
Craig Robinson will guest star in an upcoming episode of Fox’s freshman comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Robinson will play a small-time criminal named Doug Judy who has information about a cold case Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) has been investigating for years, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Other guest stars this season include SNL alum Fred Armisten, Andy Richter, Patton Oswalt, Kid Cudi, and Mary Elizabeth Ellis.
Fox recently ordered a full season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, picking up nine more episodes to bring the total to 22. The network also gave the series a post-Super Bowl slot after New Girl.
“It’s exciting to see that both critics and fans love Brooklyn Nine-Nine as much as we do,” said Fox entertainment chairman Reilly. “With Andy and Andre [Braugher] out in front of this incredible ensemble, it feels like this show is going to be around for a long time.”
Craig Robinson is best known for his role as Darryl in The Office. He recently starred in This Is The End, and will reprise his role as Nick in Hot Tub Time Machine 2.
Robinson was recently arrested after he was caught with drugs at an airport in the Bahamas. The 42-year-old tried to board a plane with 18 ecstasy pills and about a half gram of marijuana. He was taken before a magistrate and pleaded guilty to drug possession. Robinson said he bought the drugs in the US and didn’t know they were illegal in the Bahamas, and he was let off with a $1,000 fine.
Craig Robinson was previously arrested in 2008 on charges of possessing methamphetamine and MDMA. He was on probation stemming from a drunk driving incident two years earlier, and pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance. The charges were thrown out after Robinson completed a drug education program.
