Greg Lott: Love Letters From Farrah Fawcett To Secret Boyfriend Revealed
Greg Lott carried on a secret relationship with actress Farrah Fawcett for 11 years, but now the details of the affair are coming to light thanks to Ryan O’Neal’s ongoing lawsuit with the University of Texas.
O’Neal is being sued by the university over part of Farrah’s will. University officials say she left an Andy Warhol painting to UT before she died in 2009, but O’Neal said she intended for him to keep it.
As the two sides go to trial over the priceless artwork, Greg Lott is being called to testify on behalf of the university.
The affair is not a new revelation. The affair came to light in Farrah’s dying days, and was covered in the media for the next few years, with details coming out.
Lott has said the letters will prove that he and Farrah Fawcett were deeply in love during the more than a decade they spent together.
In one letter, written as she battled cancer, Fawcett wrote: “I miss you so much and sometimes the loneliness makes me cry. But this is a daunting journey one must take oneself and there is very little anyone else can do to help. I wonder if at the moment of surgery I can do it so I pray for strength and courage and it comes.”
Although Farrah and Greg were seen together as he battled cancer, the two were able to keep the relationship secret from O’Neal until the very end. But Lott is still bitter about Farrah’s death, saying O’Neal kept them apart.
“He kept me from seeing the love of my life before she died,” Lott told ABC News. “Photos don’t make a relationship. I know what I had with her. He didn’t have that. He blew it.”
Greg Lott even traveled to Brentwood, California, to confront Ryan O’Neal about how he was keeping them apart, an incident that was captured on camera. The two men argued in the street briefly, but maintained cool heads.
Afterward, Greg Lott went to the cameraman to explain their argument, saying O’Neal was shocked to know that the two had been carrying on an affair for 11 years. Lott was wearing a University of Texas t-shirt during the incident.
