Farrah Fawcett Had 11-Year Affair, Love Letters Revealed
Farrah Fawcett had an 11-year long love affair before her death and now the love letters to her boyfriend have been revealed.
The letters surfaced while Ryan O’Neal, who had an on and off relationship with Fawcett starting in 1979, is involved in legal proceedings against the University of Texas.
The University is suing O’Neal over an Andy Warhol unique painting they claim Farrah Fawcett left to the school when she died of cancer in 2009. Ryan O’Neal claims the Warhol belongs to him.
Gregg Lott says he was the Charlie’s Angels star’s college boyfriend and adds the couple had an affair for 11 years before the actress lost her battle with the disease.
Radar Online is reporting Lott will be a star witness for the University of Texas in the upcoming trial to determine who the painting belongs to.
Lott says the letters from Fawcett “speak for themselves” and show how in love they were.
ABC News reports that Farrah Fawcett and Lott kept their relationship a secret, and even though Ryan O’Neal was seen with the actress while she battled cancer, he was the one she was in love with.
A sample of one of the letters from Fawcett while she was getting ready to undergo surgery in Germany reads in part:
“I miss you so much and sometimes the loneliness makes me cry. But this is a daunting journey one must take oneself and there is very little anyone else can do to help. I wonder if at the moment of surgery I can do it so I pray for strength and courage and it comes.”
Lott accuses O’Neal of keeping him from Fawcett when she was on her death bed and denies that the pair had any kind of romantic relationship.
“He kept me from seeing the love of my life before she died,” Lott told ABC News. “Photos don’t make a relationship. I know what I had with her. He didn’t have that. He blew it.”
Farrah Fawcett married only once, to Lee Majors (The Bionic Man), and kept his name professionally. She died on the same day as pop icon Michael Jackson, June 25, 2009.
