The Golden State Warriors once again proved the doubters wrong. They won their fourth NBA championship in six trips to the NBA Finals over the past eight seasons.

They have now cemented their status as one of the greatest dynasties in modern basketball history and proved again that they didn't need Kevin Durant to be a legit championship contender.

Green Trusts The Dubs

The Warriors have to feel great about themselves right now. That's why Draymond Green is unfazed by the rumors of Kyrie Irving potentially joining LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers for next season:

"With LeBron James, if you give them someone like Kyrie... they'll have a chance because of the way Kyrie can score the basketball," Green told Bloomberg. "LeBron will only put him in a position to do that. Kyrie has not proven to be a great leader. LeBron will put an umbrella over that. If you can do what you're good at, you have LeBron leading. They could contend, but they won't beat us."

He Reached Out To LeBron

Being a four-time NBA champion, Green knows he and his teammates have reached a different status in the league's hierarchy. He even reached out to LeBron to discuss that unique feeling that comes with the fourth ring:

“I was on the phone with Bron the other day, and I’m just telling him like ‘Bruh, going from 3 to 4 [rings] is insane’ and he was like ‘Yo, I’m telling you, It’s crazy," Green said.

It's Been An Epic Journey

Green knows none of that would've been possible without his teammates. The chemistry he has built with Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, and Andre Iguodala turned a bunch of good players into a legendary squad:

“This journey wouldn’t be the same without those two guys [Steph and Klay] for me, and Andre as well,” Green said. "I couldn’t imagine sharing this journey with anyone else. We’ve always said, we’ve built this thing from the ground up. Our bond, it stretches far past what we’ve accomplished on the basketball court. Those bonds will last forever. We’re linked and connected together forever. So, to know that we’ve been on this journey together now for ten years, it’s such a special thing.”

Can The Warriors Repeat?

The Warriors look to keep most of their core together ahead of next season, with Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, Kevon Looney, Otto Porter Jr, and Gary Payton II all looking to extend their stay at the bay.

So, if Curry, Klay, and Green are back and healthy next season, there's no reason to think they won't be the team to beat again in 2023.
