Keegan Murray has a legitimate argument to be made that he should be the number 1 pick in this year's draft. It looks as if right now he is going to fall to that number 4 spot according to most reports, so Sacramento drafting him would certainly be a good idea.

However, there are also rumors that the Sacramento Kings could decide to trade their pick to the New York Knicks, which means they wouldn't get Murray.

Kings Future Is An Interesting One

It's difficult to say what the Sacramento Kings should do in this year's draft. Because of their current roster situation and not finding much success throughout the past decade and a half, the Kings find themselves in an extremely difficult position.

They still have Domantas Sabonis, De'Aaron Fox, and Davion Mitchell. With those three guys, if they can go out and add a few pieces during the summer or draft Keegan Murray here, they have the potential to maybe make the playoffs for the first time in a long time next year.

Keegan Murray was one of the more interesting players in college basketball this season. The youngster averaged 23.5 points per game, which ranked him fourth in all of college basketball.

He also averaged 8.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. Not only did he average 23.5 points per game, but he shot over 55% from the field and 39.8% from 3-point range.

It's only a few more hours until the NBA draft and if something is going to happen between the Sacramento Kings and the New York Knicks, it's likely going to happen in a matter of minutes.

Both teams have interesting decisions to make, but the Sacramento Kings might decide to get somebody who's already been proven in this league and take the safer route as they try to make the playoffs for the first time in a while. Either way that the Kings go, they should be in a good position.
