Danielle Fishel Defends Husband, Tells Internet To Shut Up
Danielle Fishel got married this weekend to her new husband Tim Belusko.
Some of the Girl Meets World actress’ fans were thrilled with the news while others criticized Fishel for marrying a younger man.
Belusko was a college student when he met Fishel. The Boys Meets World actress decided to go back to college when she was 27-years-old and admitted once that she felt like the “old lady” in class. Still, she was able to make some friends and eventually became romantically involved with Belusko.
The actress wrote on Tumblr:
“(Sometimes I feel like the) old lady in class. (But) I persevered and sometimes I wasn’t the oldest person in class, some of the whisperers became good friends, and I did so well in math, I even became a tutor. And that is how I met my fiance.”
Fishel was criticized by some people over the weekend for marrying a kid that she used to tutor. While that may be true, we aren’t talking about some “old lady” who was teaching a 16-year-old kid. Fishel was 27 when she went back to college and Belusko was an average college student. That’s not a big age difference. That’s 7-years.
People Magazine reports that Belusko is 25-years-old and Fishel is 32.
Fishel took to Twitter to scold her critics saying that Tim is “mature” and that people shouldn’t be so judgmental.
People are giving me shit for marrying someone younger than I am. Tim is mature, responsible, loving, & kind. Way to judge people, Internet.
