The Los Angeles Lakers are going through a tough stretch right now. And to add insult to injury, their own fans have let them know about their discontent over the past couple of games.

For the first time in years, the Lakers faithful have booed their own team at Arena, something unthinkable considering they won the NBA championship just two seasons ago.

Green Says Lakers Fans Were 'Pathetic'

That's why Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green didn't waste a second to call the Lakers fanbase out. Per Green, it was pathetic behavior coming from one of the most storied franchises in the league:

"I thought that was pathetic," Green said. "I thought it was extremely pathetic, and like I said, I thought it was very distasteful from a fanbase of an organization that has the most championships in the NBA."

It Was 'Utterly Ridiculous,' Says Green

Green went as far as to call Lakers fans 'spoiled brats' for booing a team that won the NBA championship just two seasons ago:

"Let's not be like spoiled brats. It's okay to be spoiled, like ya, you can 100% be spoiled, we all get spoiled by things at times at one point in our life or another, but let's not be brats. That was about as bratty as something I've seen. Considering that this team just won a championship not even a full two years ago. And now you're booing? I thought it was utterly ridiculous."

Stephen A. Smith Says Lakers Fans Can't Boo LeBron James

Green seems to be on the same page with ESPN's Stephen A. Smith. Smith recently ripped Lakers fans for booing LeBron James, the only player who's actually doing his job this season:

"LeBron delivered a championship, and last time I checked, he's playing like an MVP candidate," Smith said. The one person who should never be booed by the Los Angeles Lakers fans is LeBron James. No matter how bad it is, no matter how good it is. This man has been a model of consistency, professionalism, and greatness for the Los Angeles Lakers."

Lakers Fan Should 'Mind Their Manners,' Per Smith

Lakers fans' wrath spares no victims and it's not like James is a franchise legend by any means. Even so, Smith considers he's done more than enough to be safe from boos, at least this season:

"This is not the person the Los Angeles Lakers fanbase should be booing because he committed a turnover," Smith added. "Mind your manners and watch yourselves, because LeBron has not cheated you. Remember where you were before he arrived and what you accomplished within two years after his arrival."

Even so, James didn't want to read too much into the boos and the fans' discontent.

"I ride or die with the Lakers faithful," LeBron said. "If they boo, I'm with them … if they cheer, I'm with them."

In reality, no one should be above the organization and the fans should be able to call out whoever they think it's not doing his job. But maybe we should put things into context here.
