The 2012 NBA Draft is set to get underway on Thursday night at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, with pro basketball teams hoping to get the best players to fill their teams’ needs.
While it’s almost a guarantee that Kentucky star freshman Anthony Davis will be the top pick by the New Orleans Hornets, the rest of the order is less certain.
Among the next four could be Davis’ teammate at Kentucky Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Florida’s Bradley Beal, or Kansas’ Thomas Robinson, depending on how teams choose. North Carolina stars Harrison Barnes, John Henson, and Tyler Zeller, are also all projected to get drafted within the top 13 selections.
As Bleacher Report points out , there’s also expected to be a lot of movement before and during the draft. The Rockets have already made multiple trades. The have the 12th, 16th and 18th picks, and are expected to use those to move up in the draft or acquire an NBA star — reportedly Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard .
