This Cute White Lion Cub Roar Is Sure To Make You Smile
This little white lion cub proves that you are never too young to find your voice!
According to the New York Daily News, the female white lion cub was born at Belgrade Zoo in Serbia, and was officially shown to the media on Thursday.
The Huffington Post reported that the cub was born just a week ago, and look at her now! She’s telling the world that she’s here and not something to be messed with!
Okay, or maybe she’s just being cute, as all little week-old babies are.
According to the New York Daily News, the baby white lion, who has yet to be named, weights about 2.8 pounds.
The white lion cub’s mother, Masha, has been a member of the zoo’s animal population since 2006, and is originally from South Africa.
The cub’s father is Wambo, another popular animal attraction at the zoo.
The white lions are a rare species, and are endangered because of their bright-colored fur, which makes them easy targets for predators and poachers.
According to the Global White Lion Trust site states that white lions are not albinos, but rather a genetic rarity unique to the Timbavati region.
The site continues on to say that the more common tawny colored lions can carry the gene that causes the white coloration.
In the video which features the adorable white lion cub, she can be seen wandering around her little mattress, simply exploring her surroundings.
The little girl can be heard belting out her little roar throughout the majority of the video clip, which was released by the Associated Press.
The video clip does cut to a few of the adult white lions in the enclosure, but that doesn’t deter viewers away from the cuteness of the baby white lion.
What do you think about the little white lion cub’s roar? Since the video’s release on Thursday, it has already had over 80,000 hits.
