Miley Cyrus has a pretty high opinion of herself, this is nothing new, but now Cyrus is taking her opinion to the next level.
Cyrus has decided to compare her new edgy “Bangerz” album to Michael Jackson’s “Bad”. We’ll let that sink in for a moment or two. Hannah Montana is comparing herself to the King of Pop; “Bangerz” to “Bad”.
Cyrus opened up to Rolling Stone about “twerk-gate” , her relationship with Liam Hemsworth, and all the other gossip that’s currently surrounding her music career. When the discussion turned to her new album “Bangerz” Cyrus spoke about how much she wants to succeed in the same vein as Michael Jackson.
Of “Bangerz” timeless ability, she then went on to compare it to Jackson’s “Bad” having said:
“There are albums that people still are listening to, like Michael Jackson’s “Bad”, because it’s so f**king dope. I want people to listen to my album like that.”
Cyrus continued to open up about how much effort she put into her “Bangerz” album.
“Right now I’m listening to it 20,000 times to make sure it’s perfect. I have to make sure every detail is perfect.”
Michael Jackson isn’t the only artist that Cyrus decided to compare her music to. The rock band Th Pixies made it on Miley Cyrus’ list of people to have in mind while creating “Bangerz”.
“I have one Pixies record that is a time for me – from the time I was 16 until I was 18, the Pixies is all I listened to.”
As for Michael Jackson’s “Bad”, Cyrus has huge shoes to fill, as the album is officially one of the 20 best selling albums of all time.
“Bangerz” won’t be a solo effort for Miley, as it’s reported that the twerker has a duet with Britney Spears, Pharrell, and other top charting artists.
