Shea Allen: Fired Bra-Less Red-Headed Reporter Regrets Blog Post, Says She’s Broke [Video]
Shea Allen, the reporter who became famous for not wearing a bra and then fessing up to the transgression in her blog, has expressed surprise at her hasty firing by Huntsville, Alabama TV station ABC affiliate WAAY-TV.
The suddenly-unemployed reporter had a lot to say in the video interview Tuesday that you can see up top. The short version is that Allen had signed a non-compete agreement with the TV station and is only getting 60 days severance pay. Claiming to have only $148 in her checking account, Allen isn’t in a very good financial situation as a single mother.
As Niki Cruz for The Inquisitr previously reported, the self-appointed Red-Headed Reporter had come forward in her blog with such comments as “I’ve gone bra-less during a live broadcast and no one was the wiser” and “I am better live when I have…no idea what I’m talking about.”
According to initial media reports, Allen was pressured to take the comments down, did so, then slapped them back up under the header, “No Apologies.”
However, on Wednesday Shea Allen posted yet another clarification called 15 Minutes:
“I took the blog down immediately following my termination, then reposted it Friday evening. There was no defiance or petulance. If I could go back and do it over, I would have never written the post. My job was worth 100 times more than any of this media circus.”
She said she’s done with making her case in the media and plans to focus her efforts on finding another job.
But, at the time of writing, her blog is still out there, and it may still be raising a few eyebrows in conservative Alabama. Here’s an image she posted along with her 15 Minutes blog entry:

Right now, the future is murky for Shea Allen, who may have over-shared when she admitted to conduct such as not wearing a bra during her news casts.
