Kristen Wiig And Boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti Break Up
Kristen Wiig and Fabrizio Moretti are no more.
After dating for close to a year and a half, the couple has decided to call it quits, reportedly ending the relationship on good terms.
“It’s completely amicable,” a source told People magazine. “They are friends.”
The breakup did come as a bit of a surprise given how well the relationship seemed to be going at this point last year. In July 2012, Kristen Wiig told Marie Claire that being with Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti made her “happier than I’ve ever been.”
It seems the past year has brought a lot of endings for Wiig. In May 2012 she left Saturday Night Live, where she had been on the cast for seven years.
This year Wiig admitted she felt a bit lost without the hectic schedule that came with Saturday Night Live taping.
“The show was seven years of my life and a six-day work week and you’re constantly with your friends all day, all night … You sort of live and breathe the show … Then, when it’s over, you kind of feel a little lost … it was definitely an adjustment – even just the hours and [no longer] being in New York.”
But she moved on nicely, with appearances on the television show Portlandia and a part in Friends With Kids. Wiig even got an Oscar nomination for Bridesmaids for Best Original Screenplay.
Kristen Wiig has a bit guarded when talking about her private life, though she been through a couple of high-profile relationships. She was married to actor Hayes Hargrove for four years until the couple divorced in 2009, then dated producer Brian Petsos.
Moretti also had a few famous relationships, including Drew Barrymore and Kirsten Dunst.
Kristen Wiig will have a chance to keep busy with a few big projects ahead, including the new Anchorman movie and a sequel to How To Train Your Dragon.
