Miley Cyrus: Haters Keep The Singer ‘Mad Motivated’

Miley Cyrus doesn’t care if you’re one of the haters spouting nonsense on social media. All of those negative comments aren’t going to slow her down.

The singer recently sat down for an interview with the folks at ET Canada. During her conversation, Cyrus admitted that all of the negativity that comes pouring in from Twitter really doesn’t get under her skin. In fact, the comments seem to be having the opposite effect.

“Haters keep me mad motivated. People that are, I guess, jealous, that kind of just hate on me, make me want to do even better,” Miley Cyrus explained.

She continued, “If you don’t like me, it’s just the fact that I know the reason you hate me is because jealousy eats people from the inside out! People that are jealous and hate on me… that makes me want to work even better because they can’t take that away from me.”

The singer also touched on what she wanted to achieve with her career now that Hannah Montana is sailing into the sunset. More than anything else, Cyrus said she wanted to be able to do the things she wanted with her music.

“Once I left my show I didn’t want anyone around that was going to tell me the way that I was going to do things. I wanted to go make mistakes, go be who I was going to be. I want to win a Grammy!” she said.

It doesn’t appear that anything really ruffles Miley Cyrus’ feathers. The Inquisitr previously reported that the singer isn’t bothered by the rumors that she is a lesbian. In fact, Cyrus takes it as a compliment.

“Everyone said I was a lesbian but I’m like, ‘Being a lesbian isn’t a bad thing.’ So if you think I look like I’m a lesbian, I’m not offended. You can call me much worse. I’ve been called much worse. Being a lesbian is a compliment more than what else they call me,” Cyrus recently explained.
