‘Man Of Steel’ To Hold World Premiere in NYC On June 10th
The highly anticipated Hollywood remake of the comic book hero “Man of Steel” will hold its world premiere in New York City next Monday, June 10th. Warner Brothers will host the red carpet events at the Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall.
It is expected that all the stars of the film will be present including Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, and Diane Lane. Of course, director Zack Snyder is also expected to attend.
The studio has unleashed its PR machine on the last stretch before the movie opens on June 14, with some pre-screenings, courtesy of Walmart, on June 13.
Henry Cavill is about to be introduced to the world at large when he suits up in the red cape. Previously, he has been known to television audiences in the Showtime series The Tudors and when he starred as the human Theseus in the Greek mythology film Immortals in 2011.
This is a very strong cast which also includes Aussie Russell Crowe (The Man with the Iron Fists) who plays the superhero’s real father Jor-El, Michael Shannon (Machine Gun Preacher) as the evil General Zod, Antje Traue (Nobel’s Last Will) as Faora, and Laurence Fishburne (Have a Little Faith) as Perry White.
The European premiere was also announced for Wednesday, June 12 at Leicester Square in London. This is a tickets only event, but the public may view the stars arriving at the red carpet between 5:15 amd 6:15 GMT.
Tickets for the event are very hard to come by, but that does not mean that fans won’t be lining up all around to catch a glimpse of the new Superman.
Director Zack Snyder promises that this will be a completely different Superman, one for the 21st century. The film not only has top notch stars, but the team of screenplay writers Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer, from The Dark Knight is tops in the industry.
