Katy Perry Was ‘A Factor’ In Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart’s Recent Split

Katy Perry was reportedly involved in the recent split between the once Twilight lovebirds, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Though the break-up has yet to be confirmed by neither Pattinson nor Stewart, multiple reports have revealed that the two have decided to call it quits after three years together.

Perry was recently seen partying it up at the MET Gala Costume Ball and was also pictured with Pattinson during the event, while Stewart walked the red carpet. The two also attended the Coachella Music Festival and spent a night together in Los Angeles on May 9th, where Stewart was no where to be found.

An unidentified source told E!News that Perry “played a role, as one of many reasons” in the split between the two Twilight stars, which occurred this past Saturday.

It’s been reported that Katy Perry’s friendship, which seems to be much closer than anyone imagined, with Robert Pattinson made Stewart feel insecure among other things. The trio have been close friends for some time, and Perry was also expected to attend Pattinson’s 27th birthday bash at Stewart’s house.

An A-list break-up for the books, the pair’s relationship hasn’t always been smooth sailing. Kristen Stewart immediately apologized in a statement to People in 2012 after admitting to cheating with Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

Pattinson got past the incident and the relationship remained, though everything got a bit rocky from there. Now the duo has split, and a source told Heat magazine that Pattinson has a thing for Katy Perry.

“Katy was Kristen’s friend first, but she gets on with Rob brilliantly. It’s clear to everyone that Rob’s got a bit of a crush on Katy and she totally plays up to it,” the source told Heat magazine.

Though Pattinson and Stewart were considered inseparable at points in their relationship, they recently spent a lot of time apart before their break-up this past weekend.

“They again went from spending every second together, to spending more time apart at their separate houses,” a source told People. “Kristen has been in a terrible mood, and it was obvious that things were not great with Rob.”
