Texas Teacher Denies Fondling First-Grader, Says She’s Too Racist To Molest Black Child

A Texas prep school teacher accused of fondling a first grade student is claiming she is innocent of the crime because she is too racist to molest a black child.

Esther Irene Stoke, a teacher at Northwest Prepatory Academy Charter School in Humble, was charged with felony indecency with a child last week when allegations came out that she had touched the genitals of a 7-year-old female student.

“The victim said that she was in the classroom alone with the teacher and that the teacher touched her on the outside of her clothes, on what she called her ‘private part,’ her vaginal area,” Humble Police Department Detective J. Blanchard told KHOU.

Court records show that when the student told the 61-year-old to stop, Stokes told her to get out of the classroom. The girl said she was forced to stand in the hallway and was later told she couldn’t eat lunch or take a test.

Stokes said she couldn’t have molested the girl because she is racist and doesn’t like touching black children.

“She (said she) doesn’t like to even touch the black children on their hand, she shies away when they try to hug her — she admitted to being prejudiced,” Blanchard said. Stokes also told police that she “does not like the complainant.”

Northwest Preparatory released a statement saying that Esther Irene Stokes was no longer employed at the school.

“The employee involved was immediately placed on administrative leave as soon as the complaint was received, and the matter was investigated. As a result of the Academy’s investigation, the staff member in question has been terminated,” the school said.

Three other staff members at Northwest Preparatory have been charged with a felony for alleged behavior this year. In May, all three were charged after they allegedly disciplined a seventh grade girl by twisting her arm behind her back. All 30 staff members at the school are now required to undergo training.

Esther Irene Stokes is currently out on $10,000 bond, but she is due to appear in court on May 21.
