Melissa McBride Addresses Contract Mystery On Twitter
Melissa McBride recently took to Twitter to address the mystery surrounding her Walking Dead contract.
Many fans of the hit AMC series were concerned when the actress wasn’t among the actors listed as becoming regulars on the show. McBride soon addressed the issue on the micro-blogging site after rumors about her involvement began to grow.
Melissa McBride shed some light on the mystery by stating that she was already a regular cast member on The Walking Dead. This is the reason why she was listed among the recent announcements.
The actress thanked her fans for the “awesome outpouring” of support she received in wake of the news. However, the mystery behind Melissa McBride’s continued involvement with the show has apparently been solved.
Many fans of the series began to wonder if McBride was a regular since her name wasn’t listed among the other stars of the hit zombie show. However, AMC reportedly reserves the right to place the names of those involved with the show wherever they want in the opening credits.
Melissa was listed under “Also Starring,” which is usually reserved for guest spots. However, series regular Scott Wilson is also listed among this group. Although many had worried McBride wasn’t a regular, apparently there’s no reason for concern.
AMC recently announced that three of the Walking Dead cast members would be upgraded to regulars for next season. Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Emily Kinney will get more screen time in the next batch of episodes. Melissa Ponzio will also become a regular guest star.
