‘My Strange Addiction’ Documents Michelle, The Human Blood Drinker
Think about this the next time you complain about someone drinking a frilly Starbucks latte. My Strange Addiction is about to open our eyes to Michelle, the human blood drinker — you read that right.
Michelle isn’t a fictional character on True Blood or The Vampire Diaries. Instead she’s the latest to find her way on TLC’s My Strange Addiction. The show which documents people with, well, strange addictions, will be telling the story of 29-year old Michelle, who is a self-proclaimed connoisseur of human blood.
In the episode that airs on Wednesday, March 20, Michelle gives a few great sound bites to lure viewers in. Michelle, who seems hellbent on drinking blood all day, every day, says during the episode: “I drink human blood as much as I can. Everybody has their own flavor, their own taste.”
Those who worry that they may bump into Michelle on the street and fear for their lives, in fact, have nothing to worry about. Michelle doesn’t drink just anyone’s blood. Michelle elaborates: “I always make sure it’s from somebody that I’m close to, somebody that I would consider a best friend, a partner, a lover. Somebody that I know inside and out.”
So the next logical question, which we’re sure you’re wondering, is how does human blood taste? Comparing the sexes My Strange Addiction’s Michelle explains that there’s a difference between a man and a woman’s blood: “A man’s blood, to me, has always been thicker in some way.” You can take that however you would like.
For those that think Michelle must be a loner, think again, because this blood drinking lady also has a partner. The partner, Johnny, who is also featured in the episode, is described as a friend of Michelle’s. This partner is a “blood partner.” Michelle of course, explains what this means: “I always make sure it’s from somebody that I’m close to, somebody that I would consider a best friend, a partner, a lover. Somebody that I know inside and out.”
