Daniel Radcliffe Wanted To ‘Pick Up’ Kristen Stewart At Oscars

Remember when Twilight actress Kristen Stewart was hobbling around on crutches during the Oscars Sunday night? Co-presenter Daniel Radcliffe admitted right afterwards that he was really hurting for her the whole time.

Radcliffe was Stewart’s presenting pal for the evening, and said that the Oscars marked the first time he had the opportunity to meet the controversial actress, reports The Huffington Post.

She showed up to the Oscars on crutches, though managed to walk to the front of the presenting stage with Radcliffe without them as the two presented the award for Achievement in Production Design.

“I felt so bad,” Radcliffe told E! News at the Governors Ball later that night. “I just wanted to pick her up, put her in my arms and carry her onto the stage.”

Instead, he watched as she hobbled to the microphone without her crutches.

“I probably would have dropped her and opened her wound again,” he joked, before adding that Stewart was “really, really nice.”

Stewart admitted later that she had cut the bottom of her foot on glass prior to the show. She ran into Oscar winner Anne Hathaway backstage before presenting the award with Radcliffe.

“Please tell me you’re going on stage with those [crutches],” Hathaway reportedly asked the Twilight alum.

“Nope,” was Stewart’s reply. “I’m gonna hobble.”

“Well, break a leg … Oops!” quipped Hathaway. That’s just cold, Anne.

Stewart noticeably showed up to the Oscars sans boyfriend Robert Pattinson. A recent rumor suggests that the two are actually about to break up … after a few million copies of the Breaking Dawn Part II DVD are sold, that is.
