Chinese Official Loses Temper, Trashes Airport After Missing Flight [Video]
Kunming, China – A Chinese official was caught on video losing his temper after he missed his scheduled flight at Changshui International Airport.
A man and his wife were captured on surveillance video preparing to board their flight in China. Although everything starts out routine at first, it doesn’t take long for the entire situation to spiral into chaos.
According to Business Insider, the couple are ready to board when they are reportedly told they have missed their flight. The man initially reacts by pushing violently on the doors. As his temper escalates, so does his outrageous behavior.
The man, who was later identified as a Chinese official, is clearly furious over missing his flight. Despite the lack of audio, it’s easy to see that he has completely lost his cool. After sticking his finger in an airport employee’s face, he begins trashing the steward’s desk.
The destruction begins with the airport’s computer equipment. The Chinese official smashes the first terminal before turning his anger on another machine. Once that has been cleared away, he starts kicking holes in the desk itself.
By this point a large crowd has gathered to watch the man throw his tantrum. Enraged, he picks up a nearby sign and smashes it against a glass door. When that doesn’t get any results, he continues to hit the door with the broken sign.
The man’s behavior goes unchecked for quite a while before airport officials arrive on the scene.
The Shanghaist explains that the Chinese official in question is Yan Linkun, who is a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
Chinese officials have confirmed that Linkun and his wife missed their flight after grabbing something to eat for breakfast. It’s currently unknown if he will receive any sort of punishment for his tantrum.
