Ralph Macchio Does Not Snowboard, Denies Dying In Snowboarding Accident
Ralph Macchio has somehow captured the attention of the internet death hoax machine, becoming the latest celebrity to falsely perish in a vague Swiss snowboarding accident.
Ralph Macchio’s death hoax is one of several emanating from the same site that generates celebrity death hoaxes (on what appears to be an identical template) and it seems as soon as a celebrity steps from the spotlight for a few weeks or months, their name is plugged into the death hoax generator and a tale begins to circulate about their tragic death in a Swiss snowboard accident or in a plunge from a New Zealand cliff.
According to the spurious tale, Macchio was at a swank Swiss resort at the time of the fake fatal accident, and the “report” reads:
“The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Ralph Macchio lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed … Ralph Macchio was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death.”
Luckily, Ralph Macchio is on hand to confirm that reports of Ralph Macchio’s death have been greatly exaggerated — the Dancing With The Stars hot-footer recently tweeted:
I do not snow-board. Therefore, I am alive. In the event I was on a descending snow-board, the story may have indeed been accurate.
