Ricky Martin Buys $5.9 Million New York Condo
Ricky Martin’s wallet is a little bit lighter this holiday season after buying a $5.9 million dollar condo. Located in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, the new digs will serve as home to Martin while he stars on Broadway.
The New York Post writes that the entertainer’s new residence, designed by Peter Marino, is quite a luxurious offering. Spanning more than 3,000 square feet, it sports floor-to-ceiling windows, four bedrooms, and includes park views.
The eat-in style kitchen features custom cabinetry, marble flooring, and Swiss quartzite counter tops. With decorative touches like travertine finishes and floor-to-ceiling marble, even the bathrooms are swanky.
The building itself offers several perks and services to its residents. Those looking for a bit of exercise will find a squash court, fitness center, Pilates room, and yoga studio. Others may find enjoyment in the 40-seat screening room. There is also an arcade and playroom for the youngsters.
Sharing the new Manhattan home with Martin will be the singer’s twin sons Matteo and Valentino. The star and his family are in New York for the revival Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Evita. Martin currently stars as Che in the show with his turn in the role ending on January 26, writes Contact Music.
Once Evita ends, Martin’s next appearance will as a second season judge for the Australian version of The Voice. Also in the works is an television show on NBC slated to appear in 2013, as previously reported in The Inquisitr.
