Ryan Reynolds’ “revenge” photo, which shows the 40-year-old Deadpool star’s face Photoshopped over that of a teenage fan’s ex-boyfriend, has gone viral in recent days. And he appears to be more than happy to help a heartbroken fan stick it to her ex, having reacted to her social media post by making another creative suggestion — having his face Photoshopped over the ex-boyfriend’s yearbook photo.
According to a report from Entertainment Tonight Canada , high school senior Gabi Dunn was dealing with a harsh break-up from her boyfriend, having split with the young man just days after their prom. This prompted the Canadian teen to take to Photoshop, where she superimposed an image of Reynolds’ face over her ex-boyfriend’s, and shared the creation by tagging the actor in her post.
Since Gabi Dunn posted the Ryan Reynolds “revenge” photo on Tuesday, her post has been shared over 3,800 times and gotten close to 36,000 likes on Twitter. The next day, Ryan himself reacted to the post, offering the following suggestion to his teenage fan.
“We should photoshop me over his yearbook picture next. #DontMessWithGabi”
While Ryan Reynolds seemed amused by the whole deal, a report from the Daily Mail suggests that Gabi’s ex, a young man by the name of Jeff Bright, is also aware of the situation , having fired back with a quip of his own, and some shade thrown at the Canadian actor and his upcoming film, Deadpool 2 , which is scheduled for a summer 2018 premiere.
“Jokes [sic] on you now I’m not going to see Deadpool 2 , my $11 is going to Kevin Hart.”

Meanwhile, a report from Refinery29 suggests that the Ryan Reynolds “revenge” photo isn’t unique , as some Twitter commenters chimed in, sharing photos of themselves “posing” next to Hollywood hunks such as Channing Tatum and Zac Efron, instead of their ex-boyfriends. One of the photos dated as far back as 2008, as a woman shared a photo of herself next to a Photoshopped image of Joe Jonas, instead of her prom date at the time.
Be that as it may, it doesn’t appear very likely that Gabi Dunn will end up with her dream prom date in real life, as Reynolds has been married to Blake Lively since 2012. As the Daily Mail noted, Reynolds and Lively first met in 2010 on the set of Green Lantern , and have since become parents to two young daughters. And while the Ryan Reynolds “revenge” photo is still getting a lot of attention, it’s in-character revenge that he remains focused on nowadays, as he hopes to follow up on the first Deadpool movie’s success with next year’s highly-anticipated sequel.
