Lauren Bushnell Still Heartbroken After Split With Ben Higgins

Lauren Bushnell is reportedly still reeling from her breakup with Ben Higgins. A new report revealed that the former Bachelor contestant is having a tough time adjusting to her new life after the engagement fell through.

According to E! News, Lauren Bushnell has not gotten over Ben Higgins just yet. A source close to the couple told the publication that Bushnell is taking the breakup harder than she expected. Although she believed that breaking up was still the best option, the 27-year-old reality star still cannot help but feel disheartened now that the relationship is over.

“Lauren is having a hard time with her split from Ben. It has been a tough adjustment for Lauren to be without someone that she has shared so much time with for the past year,” the insider revealed.

Contrary to earlier reports, the source claimed that Higgins is not feeling too good after the breakup either. To take his mind off Bushnell, the former Bachelor lead is reportedly giving all his attention to Almost Famous, a podcast he shares with Ashley Iaconetti.

It did not take long before rumors of Higgins and Iaconetti started circulating online. Days after his breakup with Bushnell was confirmed, he was spotted getting cozy with Iaconetti, which many took as a sign that he’s moving on. But Higgins was quick to deny that he’s over Bushnell. He explained that he and Iaconetti were “totally just friends.”

Bushnell, on the other hand, is excited to continue her lifestyle blog, Sparkle in Her Eye. Even though she’s still hurting, the insider revealed that Bushnell is ready for a fresh start. But just like Higgins, Bushnell is not likely to go back into the dating pool just yet.

“Lauren has expressed to friends that she is excited for her future endeavors. But her heart is still being mended,” the source added.

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell announced their split back in May. After two years of being together, the Bachelor couple decided to part ways. The news, however, did not come as a surprise to the Bachelor Nation after several publications predicted the inevitable breakup. After Higgins decided to postpone the wedding, insiders believed that it would only get worse.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Bushell explained that they did everything they could to save the relationship. The Bachelor alum revealed that aside from couples counseling, she also decided to attend individual sessions with a therapist to address her issues.

“I feel like we gave it everything we could, just at the end of the day, it didn’t feel right anymore,” she said.
