No, there’s no official word yet on whether Gomez and The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) are planning to tie the knot soon, but their relationship has been heating up in such a way that people can’t help but wonder if the pair are getting engaged in the very near future.

As reported by Hollywood Life, a source said that Selena Gomez couldn’t be happier in her relationship with Abel, adding that the “Glow” hitmaker “feels like she’s found her person.”

“Selena feels like she’s found her person, her relationship with Abel has opened her heart and helped her heal in ways she didn’t even think were possible. She is so grateful to him, he’s shown her what real love is,” said the source.

“She’s never had this kind of confidence in herself or her body and this new relationship is a big part of it. He always tells her how beautiful she is and how hot her body is, she’s never felt sexier and it’s all thanks to Abel. He makes her feel safe and secure in every way.”

Selena Gomez looked happy and confident indeed when she was spotted hand in hand with The Weeknd following the latter’s concert at the Barclays Center Tuesday. Wearing a stunning sheer black dress that leaves little to the imagination, Selena was photographed stepping out with her boyfriend Abel for dinner with some friends at the NYC hot spot Carbone, as reported by E! News.

A source for E! News who claimed to have seen the couple step towards the restaurant noted that “what she [Selena] was wearing turned heads when she walked in and out.”

The Weeknd was looking impressive himself, rocking a green bomber jacket with a matching green hat, a pair of black jeans, and black Puma tennis shoes.

“They stayed for a while and acted like a typical couple on date night,” the source said, adding that the two looked cozy and “romantic” together throughout dinner.

The insider added that Gomez and The Weeknd went with their friends towards a “more private area” where “no one bothered them” as soon as the couple left the restaurant at 2:30 a.m.

The Weeknd sure knows how to make his girl feel appreciated during their hot date as he took to Instagram to post a photo of Selena Gomez in her stunning gown, along with the caption, “Glow!”

The pair had been the subject of engagement rumors not long after 2017 Coachella, courtesy of OK! magazine. According to the publication, Selena Gomez and The Weeknd had gotten engaged, with Abel telling the “Hands to Myself” singer that “he could see himself spending the rest of his life with her” and that they’re “soul mates.”

Before long, Gossip Copdebunked the engagement rumors. Still, speculation that Gomez and The Weeknd are getting engaged still persist on the web.

Meanwhile, Gomez has been throwing her support for The Weeknd by coming with him on his New York City tour stops while still being able to manage her press tour obligations.

One can’t help but feel happy for Selena Gomez, whose name was often associated with her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, whom she’d dated on and off from 2001 to 2014. It’s difficult to determine exactly what might have led to their eventual breakup, in part due to how their stormy relationship had been played out by the media. But the fact that Gomez often didn’t want to talk about her past relationship with Bieber is quite telling, leading one to conclude that she doesn’t have a high estimation of their relationship at all.
