Taylor Swift Introduces Selena Gomez To New Boyfriend: How They’re Swapping Dating Advice

Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are both loved-up with their boyfriends right now, and sources are claiming that their friendship is as strong as it ever was as they grow closer to their men.

According to reports, though Swift has been much more low-key with her romance with Joe Alwyn than Selena has with her man The Weeknd, the two are in a similar place with their relationships right now and have allegedly been in constant contact talking about their love lives.

Confirming that Selena has met Taylor’s new boyfriend, a source told E! News this week that Swift’s inner circle has been aware that she’s been dating the British actor for months now and that the two are growing closer than ever due to being on the same paths in their love lives.

“The only people this has been a secret to is the media,” an insider told the outlet, claiming that Joe and Taylor’s close family and friends, including Selena, have been “aware they have been together for several months.”

Selena and Taylor’s other close friends in her girl squad have reportedly spent a lot of time getting to know Joe recently, while the source also went on to reveal that both Gomez and Swift being in healthy relationships at the same time has only strengthened their friendship.

According to the outlet, Gomez and her bestie still talk “all the time” on the phone despite their busy schedules and constantly discuss “what’s going on in [Taylor’s] life,” which means her dating life is certainly no secret to the “Bad Liar” singer.

“They both seem to be pretty similar to their approach on their relationships this time around,” continued the insider, referring to Selena’s romance with The Weeknd who she walked the red carpet with for the first time at the 2017 Met Gala in early May.

Reports Swift and Gomez are just as close as ever as things get serious with their boyfriends comes amid months of rumors that the twosome may not be as close as they once were because the longtime friends haven’t been spotted together for some time.

The two – who have been known to show sweet moments from their hangout sessions in the past – haven’t posted a photo together to social media in months and also haven’t been seen out and about together publicly since last year, which had some fans speculating that the singers may have been drifting apart.

But despite claims that a rift could have been developing between the famously close friends, Gomez’s mom Mandy Teefey appeared to dispel the accusations earlier this year after she gushed about their close friendship on social media.

A Selena fan posted a sweet collage of photos showing Gomez hugging her mom, Taylor, her boyfriend The Weeknd, and a group of fans back in January, which got a sweet reply from the singer and actress’s mom on the social media site.

Commenting on the image uploaded by the fan, Gomez’s mom wrote, “Obviously I love all the pics but, I love the honest love hug between her and Taylor!”

Dispelling rumors of a potential feud between the friends, she sweetly continued of Gomez and Swift’s relationship in the photo’s comments, “Since they met, it’s sincerely one of the sweetest friendships.”

Mandy’s sweet words about Gomez and Swift’s friendship came shortly after Radar Online alleged back in December that Selena and Taylor may have been drifting apart after the “Hands To Myself” singer went to rehab last year, despite the twosome being close friends for several years.

“Since Selena got out of rehab, she has been cutting out all of the bad influences in her life,” a source alleged, claiming at the time that Swift “does not make the cut anymore.”
