Ariana Grande And Mac Miller Are Still Dating, Grew Closer After Manchester Attack
Ariana Grande is leaning on her boyfriend after her Manchester concert was targeted with a deadly attack earlier this month.
According to a new report, Ariana Grande and Mac Miller are closer than ever after the devastating tragedy, which took the lives of 22 people, including children, on May 22.
On May 30, Hollywood Life noted that Mac Miller hasn’t left Ariana Grande’s side since the singer returned to the States last week after suicide bomber Salman Ramadan Abedi targeted the Manchester Arena, where Grande was performing what was supposed to be one of two of her “Dangerous Woman Tour” shows.
“Mac has been an absolute rock for [Ariana Grande] during these her darkest and most challenging days. She has been completely shook by the horrible tragedy at her concert and has been unable to sleep without having nightmares about the incident,” an insider said. “Mac has not left her side, holding her at night, helping her fight back the tears. While the bombing has been terrible in every way, it has brought Ariana and Mac closer together than ever as a couple. She doesn’t know how she would be getting through this ordeal without her loving boyfriend.”
Ariana Grande’s second show in Manchester was scheduled for June 4 and will now take place as a benefit for the victims. The concert will include a number of other acts, including Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, Niall Horan, and Katy Perry.
After Ariana Grande arrived in Boca Raton, Florida, where her mother lives, Mac Miller took to Twitter to announce that he would no longer be performing at two music festivals over the Memorial Day holiday. As Hollywood Life revealed, the musician likely put his career responsibilities aside in order to remain with his girlfriend as she continues to cope with the unthinkable tragedy that took place at her show.
Prior to his cancellation, Mac Miller was expected to perform at the Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, Washington, and at the Soundset 2017 festival in St. Paul, Minnesota.
“Soundset and Sasquatch, I will not be performing this weekend. Thank you for understanding. I’ll be back. Love always,” Miller told fans in his Twitter post.
While Ariana Grande’s boyfriend skipped his weekend performances in Washington and Minnesota, he is expected to move forward with his “Divine Feminine Tour” in late June.
Ariana Grande began dating Mac Miller in 2016 after splitting from rapper Big Sean several months prior. Since then, the singer has frequently shared photos of the two of them on Instagram, and according to a report, marriage and kids may be in their future.
“[Ariana Grande and Mac Miller] talk about marriage all the time with each other, almost to the point where friends are rolling their eyes over it,” a source told Hollywood Life at the end of last year. “The honeymoon stage they’re in is pretty much at full throttle right now.”
As for the possibility of starting a family together in the future, another Hollywood Life source claimed around the same time that Ariana Grande thinks about having children with Mac Miller often and is convinced that they will one day have a family.
When Ariana Grande arrived at the airport in Boca Raton, Floria, after the attack at her Manchester concert, Mac Miller greeted her at the airport alongside her mother. In photos, Miller was seen giving Grande a big kiss after she got off the private jet that flew her back to the States.
