Tom Cruise Allegedly Won’t See Suri At Xmas Due To Scientology: Katie Holmes’ Beau Jamie Foxx Fills In?

The possibility of Tom Cruise seeing his daughter Suri Cruise at Christmas seems like a plot for Mission Impossible. A new report links the situation to Scientology, alleging that Tom will be spending time with fellow Scientologists rather than his 10-year-old daughter. With Cruise reportedly setting sail for that way of celebrating the holidays, will Suri’s mom Katie Holmes and the actress’ beau Jamie Foxx substitute to play Santa for the little girl?

“Another year, another Christmas without her dad for Suri Cruise,” Life & Style told readers, reporting that the actor will be “too busy spending time with fellow Scientologists.”

A source told the media outlet that the 10-year-old, who Tom and Katie Holmes welcomed into the world in 2006, will not see her father this month. Instead, Cruise will be going “to the church’s headquarters in Florida with son Connor,” according to the insider, who also linked the situation to Scientology.

“[Tom Cruise’s] involvement in Scientology has caused him to disconnect from Suri, which members are encouraged to do with those who leave the faith.”

Another source told Life & Style that the “disconnect” between Tom and his 10-year-old is “particularly shocking” when compared to their holidays in earlier years.

“They would have lavish holiday feasts, and Tom would give Suri the run of the store at FAO Schwarz or take her to a VIP day at one of the Disney parks,” revealed the insider.

It has been more than three years since Cruise celebrated Christmas with Suri, according to the International Business Times, which noted that Tom allegedly has “cut ties with former wife Katie Holmes and daughter Suri.”

If Cruise does not spend time with his and Katie’s daughter this Christmas, it reportedly marks the fourth consecutive year, noted the media outlet, citing an insider’s allegation about Tom’s reported silence on the topic.

“[Cruise] doesn’t talk about those days with Suri much anymore.”

Instead, Tom reportedly will spend time with his son Connor, 21, who Cruise adopted when he was married to actress Nicole Kidman in 1990. Tom and Connor allegedly will be bonding over basketball and soccer games at the Scientology headquarters in Clearwater.

Regarding the alleged “disconnect” between Cruise and his 10-year-old daughter, the media outlet noted that “speculations have been rife that the Church of Scientology is responsible for it,” citing allegations that Tom was to “shun all contacts with Holmes and Suri after they returned to the Catholic Church following the couple’s divorce in July 2012.”

However, the Church of Scientology has denied those claims, according to the media outlet.

“Scientologists often have family members and friends who are not Scientologists and who may practice another faith or no faith at all,” read the Church of Scientology’s statement. “Scientologists respect the faith of others, associate with and befriend members of every religion. Scientologists do not cut ties with non-Scientologist friends or family members because they have chosen another religion.”

As for where Katie Holmes comes into the picture, she’s reportedly focused on her daughter, her career, and her ongoing romance with Jamie Foxx. Katie and Suri enjoyed some mommy-and-me time when they celebrated Holmes’ 38th birthday this month, reported Us Weekly.

Turning to Instagram, Holmes wrote “birthday vibes” on a photo with her 10-year-old daughter, adding, “So grateful today,” on another photo.

The Instagram comments come in the wake of Katie’s and her boyfriend Jamie’s jet trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for a private vacation. Holmes and Foxx have become known for seeking to keep their romance under the radar. The two began secretly dating in October 2013, a year after Holmes’ divorce from Cruise, 54, according to Us.

“[They took] a quick trip in honor of Katie’s birthday,” a source told Us.

“[Holmes and Foxx] wanted to be very discreet and had everything delivered to their room and taken care of by a personal butler.”

Jamie, 49, and Holmes resided “in one of the most private suites” at the luxe Las Ventanas al Paraíso, a Rosewood Resort, added the insider. Katie’s daughter reportedly did not join Holmes and Foxx on the vacation to Cabo.

Just as Foxx and Holmes have sought to keep a low-profile when it comes to their romance, they’ve also been discrete when it comes to how Jamie feels about Katie’s and Tom Cruise’s daughter. Is there any chance that Foxx will fill in for Cruise this Christmas?

Earlier this year, Hollywood Life reported that Jamie is “very protective” when it comes to Tom’s daughter, citing an insider’s insights about the relationship between Foxx and the 10-year-old.

“Jamie, Katie, and Suri are already a little family and one of the biggest reasons he’s kept his relationship with Katie on the down low is for Suri’s protection.”

Foxx, who has two daughters of his own, “wants to protect Suri like she’s his own daughter,” added the source, who also revealed that Jamie does not want to view the little girl’s pictures “splashed across magazines” and the Internet.

“Never in any part of Jamie’s career did he parade his [two] daughters around in front of the cameras and he’s making sure the same doesn’t happen with Suri,” the insider claimed.

Moreover, the source reported that Tom’s and Katie’s daughter “means everything to Jamie and he has assumed the role of her father.” Foxx’s reported decision to take on that role ranks as “one of the many reasons why Katie loves him so much,” added the source, describing Holmes’ boyfriend as “the complete man and a wonderful father.”
