Selena Gomez Reportedly ‘Stalked’ Justin Bieber On Instagram Before Her Stint In Rehab?
Selena Gomez was reportedly engaged in some unhealthy behavior before she allegedly checked into rehab earlier this year.
According to a new report, Selena Gomez was negatively affected by Justin Bieber’s Instagram feed prior to her career hiatus and allegedly began obsessing over him while interacting with her friends.
“[Selena Gomez] was stalking Justin on social media,” an insider revealed to Life & Style magazine on December 16. “She would drink a lot and could barely do anything but talk or think about Justin.”
The insider claimed Selena Gomez was allegedly bombarding her friends with photos of herself and Justin Bieber, which had reportedly been taken at the beginning of their relationship, despite the fact that the “Cold Water” singer was involved in a relationship with Sofia Richie at the time.
“It was creepy,” the insider admitted. “[Selena Gomez] wouldn’t stop. She said she missed him and the pictures made her happy. But her friends thought it just made her look sick.”
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber dated from 2010 to 2012 and have reunited many times since. However, despite Gomez and Bieber’s regular reunions, they have not been committed for years and Bieber is often seen with a number of other women.
In recent years, Bieber has been linked to the likes of Kourtney Kardashian, Hailey Baldwin and Sofia Richie while Gomez has been involved in rumored romances with Niall Horan, Charlie Puth and Orlando Bloom.
Most recently, Selena Gomez was tied to Horan, who she was spotted hugging during her recent appearance at the 2016 American Music Awards. As fans may recall, Horan showed his support for Gomez at the event and later shared a tweet in which he referred to the actress as a “brave young woman.”
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were seen together at the end of last year, when Bieber was caught serenading his former girlfriend with a rendition of “My Girl” at the Montage Beverly Hills. Then, months later, after Bieber engaged in a brief relationship with Hailey Baldwin, he gave her a shoutout on Instagram. In his post, Bieber shared a photo of himself and Selena Gomez standing with one another in a swimming pool. In the caption, he wrote, “Feels.”
In response to the photo, Selena Gomez added the comment, “Perfect.” Days later, she showed her support for the singer by showing up to his Los Angeles “Purpose World Tour” show.
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber spent months apart after their social media encounter, but in August, they engaged in another online interaction after Gomez caught wind of a threat made by her former boyfriend.
After sharing photos of himself and Richie on vacation in Japan, Bieber faced backlash from fans. In response, the singer threatened to make his account private and suggested that his fans weren’t true fans if they weren’t going to be supportive of the people in his life.
“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol,” Selena Gomez wrote in response to the threat. “It should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you and supported you before anyone ever did.”
Quickly, things took an ugly turn and Bieber accused Selena Gomez of using him for attention. In turn, Gomez responded by claiming she was the one who forgave Bieber for cheating on her “multiple times.”
“I cheated…oh I forgot about You and Zayn?” Bieber then asked.
While Bieber ultimately deleted his account after their feud, Selena Gomez later returned to social media, where she apologized for her outburst and admitted it was “pointless.”
